The Bearclaw Fire Parasol is a fully articulated umbrella with flame resistant cloth and a full complement of wick. Unlike most parasols, the Bearclaw version is built from the ground up to be a fire tool. The skeletal structure of the parasol is 100% metal allowing big nasty fire over the entire surface of the canopy. No need to worry about plastic parts melting.

The principally aluminum frame has a 30" handle and 18" aluminum struts. Brass and steel accent the structure at key locations for strength. The umbrella opens and closes as you might expect. The canopy is 1000 degree fire cloth similar to European safety blankets. And finally the wicking is mostly 3/8" ropes run along the struts with a small donut at the tip. Custom wicking configurations are available.

Note: this is a HUGE fire tool. It should not be used indoors, except at massively large venues. While the fire cloth offers some protection for the user, it's still quite hot when the tool is first lit. Novice performers should take extreme caution when using this tool.
