The "preferred" Sunhoop brand fire hoop is the specific set of choices that most hoopers seem to prefer. As time goes by, this option will be adjusted as the winds of preference change. Currently, it's a 10' Sunhoop 6, with 3 quick connects, and removable steel spines.

All our fire hoops are high grade hula hoops with small hybrid wicks on spines. The hybrid wicks burn wonderfully on both white gas or alcohol, but aren't intended for kerosene or lamp oil.

The preferred hoops are 1" OD, high-heat, high density, plastic. The hoop is divided into 3 pieces with quick connectors allowing them to be taken apart or put back together in an instant. This model has 6 evenly distributed wicks on 9" removable 6" removable, high-carbon steel, spines (it seems the shorter spines are more popular). The removable spines are built for rapid removal and re-assembly so you can take them off for dipping or storage. Plus you can use the hoop without the spines, then put them on whenever.

The 10' diameter hoop is right in the butter zone for most hoopers, beginning and pro; making this hoop is a great option for someone buying a hoop as a gift for a new fire hooper. The carbon steel spines are the toughest available, making this hoop nearly indestructible, and the flexibility of removable spines and quick connects make this great for traveling.
