We understand that Spam and Illegal activities are rampant on the net and we at Bearclaw are just as concerned about your information as we would be about our own.

EMAIL

First is the primary means of communication with online entities, email. The following are what we consider to be acceptable use of email:

• Direct communication regarding receipt or status of your order.
• Opt-In (ie, you must request to receive) advertisements, like our newsletter.
• Release to third party makers who sell on this site for business use only.

The following are what we consider unacceptable uses of your email. As such your information will not be used in any of these ways by us, and any affiliate found using it in any of these ways will be discontinued:

• Spam
• Opt-Out advertising (unrequested advertisements with a way to get off list)
• Release to third parties who do not need personal contact via email (shippers, et al)
• Sale or release to any third party outside Bearclaw and it's affiliates.

PERSONAL INFORMATION

Your personal information such as name, address, and phone number is treated with the same privacy as your email. Only those entities in need of the information, such as shippers, credit card companies and third party vendors will ever be released such information, and only as much as is absolutely needed.

CREDIT CARD INFO

Your credit card information is kept in the strictest confidence. Our secure server is hosted by Trustcommerce, and their servers handle all the credit card information. The full extent of your credit info is not even available to Bearclaw staff. Thus, we cannot release your credit info, not to affiliates, and not to any third party.

COOKIES

Yes, the Bearclaw site makes use of Cookies. Our particular use is as originally intended: to provide you a unique session marker allowing you to stay "logged in" once on the site. No other information other then your session ID (a randomly generated string of letters and numbers about 20 characters long) is stored in our cookie. We do not look for other site's cookies and cannot infer information from them.

However, it should be noted that although you can browse our site without the use of cookies, you cannot place orders without them. Some privacy applications and browsers limit the use of cookies. This may be a source of frustration if you are unaware of the scope of their activities.
