Wick covers allow you to practice with your real poi until you're ready to light up. Or, once you've lit, you can switch back to a high visibility, UV show any time. The bags are made of white duvetyn, so you can drop your wicks in immediately after a show to keep them from blackening everything they touch. White duvetyn is slightly UV reactive, the strings are highly reactive and the optional tails are very reactive.
Not just for poi, though, these covers also work with torches, staves, meteors, etc. If your wicks are particularly large (like solaris or Death Stars) please request the large size bags.
